PAULITE WEB - Poems By Tony Davies

Sitting here, my mind goes still,
Another sheet, a page to fill,
Memories that mean so much to me
Pictures, through words, are all I see.
Memories that dim down through the years,
Remember the fun, forget the tears.
In our time we had both of these,
As Masters and Prefects we tried to please.
Parents too, they played their part,
It was our well-being they had at heart.
The financial sacrifice they made,
Our success, the yardstick, for the price they paid.
We look back now on those years with pride,
Achievements that make us feel good inside.
We who left early, our part we played,
Oh how we wish we could have stayed!
With undue haste did we depart
And inadvertently left our heart,
But we left it safe, amongst old friends,
And there, for the moment, our story ends!
