PAULITE WEB - Poems By Tony Davies
Film Night
|
Prep hall on a Saturday night,
The lessons now are out of sight,
A fantasy world about to take flight.
Is it a mystery, or a thriller?
We follow the plot to find the killer,
The story unfolds, a real bloodchiller!
Towards the end we see the suspects,
As one by one the detective rejects,
Then names the one that no-one expects!
Suddenly, it's over and the lights are on,
The fantasy an empty screen, it's characters all gone.
It's time for bed -- we stand as one.
We start to move -- head for the door,
Heavy feet -- on wooden floor,
We've seen the film, we want for more.
The days will soon pass to Saturday when,
There'll be another film, of mice and men,
We'll wait with bated breath till then!
