PAULITE WEB - Poems By Tony Davies
Virtual Reality
To regress now, to my childhood's end,
To catch once more the face of a friend,
To walk around, as a phantom, light,
And pray that no-one catches the sight.

To walk the corridors of my past
From a future that moves too fast,
Through classrooms, and around sleepy halls,
A past, from where my childhood calls.

The haze of time, as a curtain, parts,
To reveal the place that stole our hearts,
The mist of ages starts to clear,
The vision, now reality, is brought near.

Fresh life breathed into faces and names,
To live again, our fun, our games,
To have the sense of sight and touch,
In this place that means so much.

Should I go back, what would I find?
For this return is in my mind,
Brought about by a Hypnotist's skill,
A "virtual" visit, to a place on a hill!
