While some folks did not rebuild their houses on the same spot, some did. These photographs are of the same house -- I am not going to mention the location due to their privacy. However, notice the white house on the left of the house that was rebuilt -- that house is the same in both pictures which shows that the house in pic2 is at the same location as pic1. Definitely a big change, but its nice to see that people did not abandon their place of residence.
